Pushkin Gallery exhibitions in Russia

The Pushkin Fund and Pushkin Gallery are pleased to announce their historic cooperation with the with the Russian Federation in presenting an ongoing series of art exhibitions and cultural events at the Presidential Palace Complex in St. Petersburg - Konstantinovsky. This is the beginning of a long term cooperation wherein paintings from the Pushkin Collection (currently housed at the Gallery) will return to their homeland - where they have never before been exhibited or offered for sale.
The first installation will be an exhibit of important works by the renowned Russian Modernist, Boris Chetkov - on June 12, 2009 for Russia National Day.
In addition to the inaugural exhibit, the Pushkin Fund will host an evening of Pushkin poetry at the Presidential Cottage on June 18, 2009 and a performance of Russian romances by the Russian opera star, Natalia Orlova, at the Elagin Palace in St. Petersburg on July 16, 2009.
Over 400 works from the collection of the Pushkin Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico will be selected by curators and art historians from the State Russian Museum for exhibitions over the coming months. Other unique cultural programs are being scheduled for the fall / winter season in addition to the Pushkin Golden Autumn Ball on October 24, 2009 at Catherine Palace in St. Petersburg.
